A few weeks ago, I was at Sam's Club. It was around the Christmas season and I offered one of my homemade Christmas angels to a young twenty-something girl at Sam's. She was so excited and full of joy with the gift of this Christmas angel that she immediately called her mother who was living in another state to tell her about the man she met at Sam's that gave her the beautiful Christmas angel.

Today, I was at Hobby Lobby and I had a box full of my homemade Christmas angels. I heard a young woman talking on her cell phone with someone that was quite loud on her speakerphone. I thought to myself, "I want to give this young lady a homemade Christmas angel", but her conversation went on for quite some time. So, I kept circling back from aisle to aisle to see if she was off her phone. When I went down the aisle where this young woman was shopping, I realized that the person this young woman was talking to was going to continue to talk while this young lady continued to shop. I realized to offer this young lady an angel I was going to have to break into her conversation as she was talking.

I decided to break into the conversation and show this young lady my Christmas angel box which was filled with various colored Christmas angels. She was stunned and shocked! When she looked up at me she spoke to her mother who was on the phone in another state, "Mom, the man that I was telling you about at Sam's, that gave me the homemade Christmas angel, is standing in front of me! And he wants to give you one of his Christmas angels!" This young lady was on a video call and I was now looking directly at her mother. I said, "I want to give you an angel. What color do you want?" I showed her the box full of angels. She said, "I would like to have a red one." I said, "I have a beautiful red one that I just made." Then I lifted it from the box. It was red and had gold plated wings. They were delighted! I then began to walk off and she continued to talk to her mother. The last thing I heard was the mother saying, "I want to marry that man!" Then I heard the daughter say, "Mom, you can't marry that man, he's married!"

So the point of the story is this. God is love, love is kind, and God so loved that he gave freely without charge, no donation. It is so shocking to see someone give freely that people are overcome with joy and delighted and they see something that they rarely see. It's a manifestation of God and they don't really know how to handle it. So when you follow the Lord's command to love one another, be careful because the scriptures say kindness is attractive.
"Kindness makes a man attractive..." (Proverbs 19:22 Living Bible)

I also went from Hobby Lobby to TJ Max and I offered Christmas angels to two older ladies. They were delighted with the angels. Then it prompted me to tell them the story about the young lady and her mother that said she wanted to marry me. I also told them that while I was leaving Sam's Club, where you scan your receipt at the door, they scanned my hand. It rang up nothing. I was worthless. So what the mom said that day was a reflection of God and His worth, not mine.
